“All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].” Proverbs 15:15 AMP
Can you imagine living a life that is a continual feast regardless of your circumstances, challenges or the way people act towards you? How is that at all possible? Well humanly it is not possible. Usually, what is going on around us influence our mood, like whether we have money or not, what your partner or children is doing or not doing, who ever upset you etc. But there is a way, a way that brings freedom, that is above the worlds way and that is Gods way where He touched us, our heart and anoints us with oil of joy in order for us to have a feast regardless of what is going on around us!
“You love righteousness and hate wickedness. No wonder God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of joy more than all your companions!” Psalms 45:7 CEB
“to provide for Zion’s mourners, to give them a crown in place of ashes, oil of joy in place of mourning, a mantle of praise in place of discouragement. They will be called Oaks of Righteousness, planted by the Lord to glorify himself.” Isaiah 61:3 CEB
I can honestly testify of this in my life where God has touched me to experience this joy regardless of whats happening around me! Sometimes i can feel the pressures and how it taps my energy and peace but as soon as i make time to tap into God and His presence, the oil of joy flows over me. Sometimes i burst out laughing other times its just a joy bubbling up in me but always i feel relief even though nothing has changed in my circumstances! God is truely our outcome, excape, comforter and relief! And it is His will that we would rather turn to Him for joy then to anything else for short term escape.
So, what is stopping you from experiencing this joy? God promises it, He actually expect it of you and will also give it to you when you turn to Him for escape and joy!
“They will come shouting for joy on the hills of Zion, jubilant over the Lord’s gifts: grain, wine, oil, flocks, and herds. Their lives will be like a lush garden; they will grieve no more.” Jeremiah 31:12 CEB
